so i went to nyc this weekend to try and see wangechi mutu’s piece, one hundred lavish months of bushwhack at the moma. i waited in line for an hour because it was free friday, and even though i had checked their website before going there (it said the piece was on view), it was in fact not. the show it was in had ended early and they’d taken it down. and the exhibit was called ‘modern myths.’ why didn’t i know about this…
